Nowadays, finding affordable and quality childcare in Illinois is not easy. Many families with young children are forced to allocate a massive portion of their income on child care.
In some cases, most mothers need to sacrifice and leave the workforce because they can’t find affordable, available, and quality preschool for their kids.
To address these concerns, the Illinois Department of Human Services’ (IDHS) Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) supports families to get the information and resources they need to find and select affordable childcare in Chicago for their little ones. This program also gives working parents access to services that can help their children prepare for school.
